Haha, nice. Yeah, i've looked at the new software, gonna spend a bit of time when I've got a moment. On a side note, the loom arrived today thanks, would you be able to sort me out with an invoice though?

If I had a 1GGE, I'd probably be less concerned, as it has one knock sensor, and it's in the middle of the block. I'd like to use both on the GTE if possible, i'll see what I come up with.

Ah good I was halfway through a PM about the loom..
No worries i've got the invoice in the car somewhere i'll post it soon.

I've been playing with the idle control on my 1G and have come to the conclusion that ford idle motors are crap. I have tried 2 different ones and neither works like I expect it to even on a power supply with the valve in my hand it still does stupid things.
So I am in the process of making a plate to let me run 2 hoses from the top of the TB to a bosch ISCV from and excel so ill let you know if I have any success with that.

Connecting them in series is probably better. Just hassle him to put two knock inputs on his next model. The scary thing is he actually would.

Yeah it would work as a mixer like it says, but you still have the possibility of the 2 signals being out of phase like andy mentioned on the adaptronic forums and cancelling each other.

I recently ran the output of the rear knock sensor on a unwanted 1G through the mic input on my laptop and had a play with the timing to make it knock. I have recorded a few of them. With enough timing all 6 cylinders could be seen to knock with time intevals between each one consistant of around 6000rpm. The one knock sensor picked up all 6 with no problems but it was also knocking rather badly at this point. (33 degrees timing 15psi boost )

I would recommend that anyone who is serious about tuning a car with any engine not just a 1G do this as the knock was very easy to hear. Without listening to the knock sensor it was impossible to hear knock over the screamer pipe.

I think connecting the one sensor to the adaptronic would still be the best approach

One it is. Given the propensity for #6 to blow it's load, i'll follow your approach and do the rear sensor.
