fwiw, Neal Bates appears to be using 50mm carbs in his 3SGE rally RA40 (gen1 head, later model block & sump, ¬13:1 compression, other unknown goodies).
I have seen a blacktop converted to non-vvti but that involved new cams and adjustable pulleys. Given that you'll be operating in revs where the ECU would normally be rotating the cams a bit, I'd suggest you consider new cams and manually adjustable gear at the front.
4A flywheel won't fit- wrong bolt pattern on the back of the crank.
You will have to run ECU-controlled ignition - there's no dizzi only a crank and cam sensors for timing. They come with individual coil-on-plug ignition.
