Anybody have diagrams or even a manual containing Toyota aircon diagrams I could cross reference off ?
the car is a 1974 MS65 Crown, but im pretty sure anything up to mid 80s from toyota would be relevant or i could at least reference off it.
basically, my aircon works, and is cold / hot ... but the levers dont represent the desired air temp/flow (ie: it's not blowing air where it should compared to the controls) ... changing from hot to cold changes flow from demister to vents etc.
so i think i have some vacuum lines have been fatigued/replaced in the vehicles lifetime
a while back i bought another MS65 for parts, but it's aircon had the early cable only version (about 5 cables) ... where as my current aircon (74 ms65) has both vacuum lines and 2 manual cables.
if i disconnect line..
1 -> doesn't affect direction of air. Sucks on cold not hot. From Unit. Activates the diaphragms.
2 -> doesnt affect direction of air. Sucks on cold not hot. From Line 8
3 -> affects recirc/fresh not demist, only when on Hot. From Unit
4 -> affects all directions, only on Hot. From Line 5
5 -> 5 = 4. From unit, goes to 4
6 -> affects all directions, only on Hot. From Unit. Activates the diaphragms.
7 -> engine vacuum. affects all directions and all temps. From intake manifold.
8 -> 8 = 2. From unit, goes to 2
