Default laminova Water/Oil Cores. Anyone have experience with them?

OK so next point of discussion i wanted to bring up; the laminova range of water to oil coolers.

Has anyone here used them? Can anyone give a guide as to what size an engine setup like mine would need? Would engine coolant be enough or should I run a separate cooling circuit with heat exchanger etc? (I can reuse my WTA heat exchanger and pump)

    Laminova water to oil cooler

I've sent an email describing my setup to laminova and mocal, hopefully they come back with some advice..

Your engine coolant is at about 90degC... Think about it...

the coolant from the radiator into the engine is approx 65degC, since the oil is running at a much higher temp, it (coolant) would probably do an alright job at cooling the oil. Bill Sherwood (bilzilla) runs/use to run his oil cooler like this.

Sorry, I made the assumption you were looking for a WTA cooler (even though the title clear states otherwise...)

If you are looking for a simple oil cooler, just use the setup that the JZ engines use.

they dont have the heat rejection capabilities i need for this setup.

Got a response back from laminova anyways. See below for those interested

    "Hi,

I would recommend either a C43-332, or if you prefer the oil connections out on the same side an EC54-250. In both cases I would recommend to have the center bypass in the core plugged.

    Best regards,
