Hi,
I have an AE82 Corolla sedan with a 4AC motor and 3 speed auto. 4/85 build date.
I got it awhile ago with a suspected (and confirmed) cracked head. I have had it repaired by a engine specialist who I have used for years and trust.
Replaced all gaskets, new timing belt and tensioner. New fuel filter, spark plugs, air filter.
Set it all up as per spec (Gregorys manual).

Car starts and runs - but can't get it to idle right. When it is started cold, it goes to 2000rpm but comes down - I believe this is normal?
But it goes up and down in the revs.
I have tried adjusting the idle mixture screw (large one at the back of the carby, it has helped but it is still idling up and down, but less.

When I removed the head, silly me didn't tag the vacuum lines. I removed only the bare minimum as far as they went.
I am wondering if anyone has a diagram that has the layout for the ones sold in our country - I have done a forum search but nothing quite suitable was found.

I would also like any tips/experiences/advice anyone might have - I am mechanically trained, but always EFI as all the cars I have worked on professionally have been predominantly european and thus, EFI. For some reason I get a mantal block as far as carbies are concerned.

Thanks in advance.
