Crazy that its that heavy when the 1GZFE that is now in my celica is only 202kg that was minus starter alt and PS pump though. And thats 2.5 times the capacity and three time as as many cylinders. So along with the lighter than Cast iron W50, TKO box its not gonna be a huge amount heavier than the standard setup!!

I know I posted this a while ago but a 20V engine without any brackets, manifolds, water pump, flywheel and dry is 88kg

That's bloody heavy, I honestly have to say I'm surprised at that. This has zero relevance, and is for comparison's sake only, but a dry G54BT with manifolds, turbo, alternator, starter, flywheel and clutch weighs 154kg.
Would have expected a performance-oriented motor intended for a lightweight sports coupe to be lighter than a turbo truck motor from a lard-arse widebody Starion, lol

Last time I weighed an 18rg it was less than the 18R-C we replaced.
It was about 135kg with oil. 18R-C was 140kg
I don't remember if the RG had an exhaust manifold or alternator but all other bits were on it.
It had carbies on it.
