Where it connects to the fuel tank????
In some cases it would be fine, in others it may draw the vent from too low in the tank which may allow liquid fuel through the vent line when the tank is full............
So, just a very general question regarding fuel tanks and venting.
What would theoretically happen if you mixed up your fuel return line and your fuel tank vent line ?
Where it connects to the fuel tank????

Absolute worst case you get petrol in your charcoal canister.
Generally the return line (at the tank end) has its open end right near the pickup, so 99% of the time it will be submerged in fuel.
If you have everything connected at the charcoal canister end, as above, it will suck the fuel up and into the cc.
Also, normally the vent line is smaller than the return line, which may prove to be a restriction, and therefore you may end up with slightly higher fuel pressure in the rail.
