2JZ auto Q's

Howdy

Just doing a bit of research for a conversion I am wanting to do this year. Im wanting to fit a 2JZ-GTE into my 2nd gen 4runner, Just wanting to know if it is possible to utilise the 2J's auto transmission with a transfercase by using parts or housings from a 4x4 auto?

Id like to keep it 5spd with my current R151f but conversion kit+clutch costs as well as other dramas will blow the budget.

Also am I under the right assumption that if I was to source a halfcut the engine+auto should all be plug n play with its associated ECU's and lumes? Other then the wiring for ignition, dash etc?

The Surf transfer case will fit up to your auto . You will need to cut the output shaft and make provision for the 2JZGTE speed sensors and drill and tap a hole in your casing.
