sounds like you would be in for a world of hurt. If I understand my rules correctly this requires you to pay for EPA testing and then lock the ecu when done

I spoke to Rohan Carter at Cartech in Abbotsford, Melbourne (just south of Victoria st). This was a number of years ago, but he was helpful and gave me a bunch of advice about how to go about getting things engineered.

One point he made was that a (lets say) 1990 4AGZE meets a stricter emmissions standard/ADR than is required for a (again, lets say) 1983 Sprinter. Therefore there was a little room for movement with respect to engine changes (eg, bigger pulley for more boost). I have no idea if changing to turbo would be a problem or not, but that could quite quickly be sorted with a talk to an engineer. Running standard management would make things far, far easier too.

Also ring/visit in person a bunch of engineers and find one which works for you.
I need a working 4AGE bottom end. Pref smallport GZE, but all others considered. Also complete motors.
Drift Volvo. Was fun. 2JZ next time.
