Alex (Driving Proficiency, Speeddome etc) ran a come-and-try rally thing last year (ie, BYO car), pretty sure he has his own rally car too. Maybe a good person to contact?
Do any of you guys get into rally or rallyx? I know light car club used to run a lot of stuff, but it seems like their website's down, and has been for a while. I'm wondering if there's still a bit of entry level rally/loose surface action happening, or if you've gotta be well serious to get involved...

Rally Information - WA Car Club
safari still gets run aswell
My cuz used to run a Subaru Legacy in rally.. started off in 1600's & then a AE86 coupe before he went into the legacy.
Rob Webber was his name might ring a bell to some.
I actually ended up with the datto for my first car
He only got out because it became too expensive when the rules changed a while back and he was going to have to get fire supression and so forth added to the legacy.
Wish I had a F#%ken awesome toyota.. saving for the goodness now.... stay tuned....
Ross Tapper (Targa West) is involved in rallying in WA, and the WA Car Club in Wattle Grove run events to my knowledge. So, try them. If you want Ross details, let me know.

There's also BORSMA which runs the khanacross series in Beverly
can't find any info on them online, do you have any more details?
Gene: thanks mate, I've been looking at the WA car club stuff. It seems that the halycon days of a few years ago have passed, last time I looked I'm sure I found a lot of all-day events (mostly on dirt or mixed surfaces) for sub-$100 (LCC seems to have gone by the wayside...and I think that they ran a lot of them)
For now I'll have to content myself with the TECCWA events and speed event series

You can also try the south west touring car club, the website is down currently as it is changing host. They run autocross and motorkhana gravel events. The track is at behind the Bunbury speedway, it is the off season at the moment but starts up again around April. You will need a L2NS license I think it is.
Any more info, contact (club secretary) Ron Ferguson [[email protected]]
