Default Aristo 2jzgte into 4wd Hilux Surf - Fuel ecu / pump setup

I'm putting an Aristo 2jzgte into my 92 hilux surf (waz diesel) and would like to no if it is easier to have the stok aristo 'fuel ecu' system or wire a custom setup?

Can the fuel pump be wired up like I was running an aftermarket ecu or does the engine computer need a signal from fuel ecu?

Also does the aristo run 2 pumps.... or one internal or external?

There is a thread in the tech section on how to run a fuel pump without this ecu.
    Have a look for it.

I've got a link on my wiki that should explain the fuel pump / fuel ECU. It also shows / describes a small circuit that will allow you to use the JZS147 engine ECU to trigger the fuel pump off a relay.

wilbo666 / Toyota FPC to COR Wiring

And the JZS147 Aristo only has one fuel pump inside the fuel tank.

Also if you haven't seen it,

Same as 1UZ set up. That is they run a two speed fuel pump so what you are thinking is not required and it's bloody easy...

The big question is what engine management system are you running or plan to run? If stock then one wire to trigger a relay on the earth side and done. Rest of it if your Surf was either 2L-TE or 1KZ is a matter of matching pinouts and I have those... Not to stand on anyones toes but best you get in contact and there are a couple being built as we speak in Perth, One with a 1J (manual) one ex V6 4runner (2J and given the turbo he wants to fit I have no idea how he is going to get the bonnet shut, let alone how the diffs are going to hold up when in 4wd). I do this more with the V8s but is much the same in this application. This said I managed a really good f@ck up today.. Change one wire and EOP

    Thanks guys, Much appreciated.

Had to read wilbo's articles a few times for it to sink in.
Going to keep engine stock as possible to limit problems down the track.

Can I use the efi relay out of the aristo engine bay fuse box?
Because being a diesel it doesnt have the wiring for that and obviously wired in.
