    Yeah, and it'd take 15 mins to work out what each relay is for what. The car i'm talking about has all the relay names written in japanese... or, at the very best, engrish.

    I'm not sayin there are no other options... but if, but some odd chance, someone had the wiring dags in pdf form, it would've saved either $100, or several 15mins spent in front of the multimeter. It's not like i get enough of that during the day

    If no one has one, well, guess i'll have to take the next best option

    Ok
    One of the first things that i require to know is

    On the RHS going off to the RHS Kick Pannel fuse area via a Black plug is 4 wires

    1/ Large White wire ( Approx 8mm) which when you follow it back it goes to the alternator and thats it. Is this still needed and if so what is is for ? . There also is one of these same size from the alternator back around the eng o the LHS eng by Fuse Box J3.

    2/ Smaller large white wire ( 6mm approx which goes over to the fuse box J3 onlyon the AMI 40A fuse link

    3/ 4mm black wire bit thickers that all the standard size wires which connects up and branches offf to various things.

    4/ 4mm Black - Orange wire that also connects up to various things ie fuel pump relay etc.


    Also what are these items as shown below and are all of them required to be connected for a 4AGTE setup using the standard comp?














    Any info appreciated on this

    Prolly not much help... but the things in the 3rd pic with the hoses on are vacuum solenoids. Often use when the car needs control over some sort of vacuum advance etc for air conditioned cars. They need to increase idle when the compressor kicks in.

    The second pic looks very relay like...

    The last thing looks like somewhat like an ignitor. I'm guessing that one of the wires goes to the -ve side of coil, and the other to some sorta spark controlling device (computer, points etc depending on your car's elec system). The way it would work is that the computer turns on the switch (transistor) using one wire, then the other wire is grounded by the transistor inside so that the coil chargedes up, then the computer turns off the switch when in needs to fire.

    there is no toyota manual on the ae101 levins available.
    they were only sold new in japan.
    all other countrys only got them as used imports.

    The first pic with the black plug and 4 wires where exactly are these to go to? am i on the right track with where i stated before the pics ? If not any ideas.

    i worked those out myself using a multimeter.... and then wrote it down in my notes book.

    good luck understanding my notes!!

    off the top of my head though...
    # large white = alternator power out
    # smaller white = AM2 fuse (i think?)
    # B-O = ignition power (does not fall to 0Volt when engine cranked)
    # B = starter motor
    #
    ...... butt scratcher?!
