    Default 4AGE injector?

Picked up some Denso injectors out of a blue top 4AGE fitted AE82 at pick & payless (paid nothing actually) on the weekend. Was getting a few odd things then noticed these injectors. They are a dark reddish/brown colour, low impedence top feed and fit the standard loom plug (C type plug). Part number 23250-16090. Definitely not 3SGE as low impedence. Anyone know what they are out of (EPC people) and in particular flow rate? I have searched extensively on injectors previously and this part and colour isn't on any of my lists.

They are a real deep scarlet colour, single hole. Don't seem to fit on any of the databases, but there are a lot of gaps on them.

I'm putting in some 225cc series 1 1GGTE injectors I have already had cleaned, out of interest. Not going to get these done too unless I can base it on something firm as a worthwhile experiment.

Ha! You obviously have too much money on your hands! $25 - 30 each aint cheap, although I could do one as an exercise I suppose. Would still be good to know what engine they come from to make a rough guesstimate

Injector on the left is a brown 3SGE for colour comparison.

I would hazard a guess that they are the same injectors. I have seen GZE, GE and other injectors come out in a fairly wide range of shades. A plastics and composites person at uni once explained that the dying colour can change by several shades in the presence of oil and heat etc. So it is possibly that.

    Hey!
Funny you should mention this, quite a coincidence actually, but i have just installed a new 4age into my ae82 (blue top) and it also has these colour injectors. My old one had the beige colour ones.Maybe toyota brought out the blue tops with different injectors in some of the models.
