actually, can that Ben, from the official results I only ran a 52, on the whiteboard on the day they must have put your time as mine, cause it said 51.29 which is exactly your best run of the day? Must have confused them two Corollas only one running number apart

Beaten by 3 x turbo 1600s, a rotary and a V6 - I think the little turbo 1300 did well mate. If the wet weather had stuck around you would of had it in the bag - despite your insistence on ballet moves mid lap.

Talk about point and squirt !!!!!!!!!! I am always rabbiting about needing more power from my N/A 16V , but after viewing that in the wet , I need to be carefull what I wish for. Rather you than me --- Bloody good effort

Looks slow cause it was JoJo, 56 seconds on that run........ first time out in 12 months and my corner entry speeds were girly

[edit] Bob, yours would be a screamer with the extra torque of a small responsive turbo setup. With EFI and E85 fuel its doable even on your high compression/big cam setup I reckon. Problem becomes that it leads to wanting for a stronger driveline etc as a result.... and all of it adds weight

Hey guys and girls my name is Todd i drive the green subaru wrx that some of you might know from the hillclimb. I found this site while searching for photos of my car at the track and noticed that a lot of you are regulars out there so i thought i would join the forum. Even though i don't drive a Toyota i have a soft spot for Ae86s ever since i saw enitialD 6-7 years ago and love Justens V8 celica and the 1jz carolla both of wich are monsters, I pretty much like any nice cars. lol
I'm a bit old skool and spent many a day in my gemini and my mate in his twin cam celica chasing each other around stromlo forest, air disaster and kohen forest back when you could get in there easily, ah good times. Anyway i was wondering airocobra if you had any photos of me at the track on sunday that you could post up?

I have talked to a few of you over the last couple of years that i have been going to the track just as a spectator till this year were i couldn't watch you having fun any longer so i got my butt out there this year to have a go, what a ball.
I also have video of a few of you guys that i will upload to utube so i can post them up in this thread if you would like.

Yeah it was fun but it was my first time on semi slickS so i was a bit unsure how they perform but i must say that the difference between them and street tyres is AMAZING even when it was real wet they were awesome i could of pushed a bit harder.
I wish i didn't have to wait till next year to try them out again.
I've watched your video and any others i could find of you and holy crap i love that carolla. I have some footage of it from early this year or late last year i can't remember exactly when till i have another look at it but i'll get it up on youtube.
