Can someone let me know how to retrieve codes off these i'd appreciate it. Is there a diagnostic port?
This seems like a random issue, but I'm not sure how boost cut etc works on this motor. This particular setup is running top mount and a T-bleed at about 12psi, stock ECU, stock CT26 etc.
Every now and then, USUALLY when freeway driving and hitting boost in 4th-5th gear, the engine will cut power for a second and throw a check engine light. I have seen boost as high as 14psi on a cheap mechanical boost gauge (speco). After this has happened, anytime you hit ANY BOOST AT ALL, the engine cuts for a second and throws a check light, until you turn the ignition off and on again. Does this sound like boost cut, or am i possibly dealing with a more complex issue requiring me to get codes off the ECU etc etc?
Any help appreciated.
EDIT: Also wondering if this could be a knock/detonation thing due to the top mount probably getting quite warm doing freeway duties..

that is definetly boost cut.
to check error codes, bridge TE1 and E1 in the diag box and count the CEL flashes with ign on.
boost/fuel cut is around 12.5psi on the gen2 motor
AHHHH thank you this makes me feel a bit better. I'll try find a code list online and see what it says.
yep def boost cut. this engine set up seems to spike very easy with a mbc imo i got an ebc and that helped alot.. , if your not going crazy with the boost though you can install a FCD

yup seems to spike really easy when you load the engine up in the higher gears, or even a little low in the rev range. It's got enough power (daily) So i may even delete the MBC just to make it a little happier.
