Its a silvertop bock, and blacktop head. The blacktop block is not good, because of the hydraulic tensioner, I killed 2 brand new ones (and one motor) with them.

    Engine:

Custom header (SS 304 in 1.5" diameter primaries and 660mm long, to a full 2.5" SS 304 exhaust, DEI header wrap
Custom Aluminium intake with CNC backing plate with built in 45mm velocity stacks.
    3SGTE injectors
    Coil On Plug ignition
Sliver top block (I grenaded a Black Top one) with balanced crank, ARP Bolts throughout, ACL bearings, Tomei rods, custom CP pistons, 15:1 CR.
288 degree 10mm lift Kelford Cams
Supertech 1mm OS valves, Supertech Valve Springs
    Excedy Lightweight Flywheel
Setrab oil cooler and TRD oil filter with HKS adapter off the block
Moroso catch can (shortened to meet regs) with K&N filter
Half size radiator with alloy shrouding and electric fan
    K&N 3" cone filter
    ARP alloy heat shield
    TRD oil cap
    TRD 0.8mm headgasket

Isn't the blacktop block the same or very similar to the silvertop? If I'm not mistaken the oilpumps are the different part that the timing tensioner mounts too.... no??

    no real biggy...

so you are running CP 15 to 1 pistons*, Tomei rods, with Kelford 288/10mm lift cams, what are you doing for management?

    * - understand the TRD gasket is part of the overall CR

Yup very similar blocks, I have 2 hydraulic belt tensioners (new) fail, one grenaded a built motor. So we went to the silvertop block for the manual tensioner.

Im using a Vipec V44, basically a flash Link ECU

    * and the head is skimmed

The blocks are the same, its only the oil pump which is different.

ie. Use a silvertop oil pump and you can use a silvertop tensioner + timing belt
use a blacktop oil pump and you can use the hydraulic tensioner + timing belt
