gen1 evap system is pretty simple, from memory it's:
tank -> canister -> manifold port on canister-> temp-controlled valve on hot water outlet -> port on throttle body
no electricly-controlled VSV at all.
Hey Guys and Gals,
Just tiding up some loose ends on my conversion, got most of the Emissions controls blanked off, blocked, removed, or working as they should, but got one small problem. I can't locate the VSV for the Evaporative Control System (Charcoal cannister), and have gone through EVERY Camry and Celica manual I can find.
Looking at my motor, (Gen 1 GE) there is a plug not being used coming off the rear off the engine, next to the water temp sender. I will put a photo up tonight to assist.
Kind regards,
Ryan

Hi Chuckster,
Thanks for your input. Just had a look at the Chilton Celica Manual, and it says it def uses a BVSV that is installed in the water circuit.
Toymods is being gay and won't let me upload. Pics to big blah blah. Fuck it I will just go and annoy some one with a Celica.
Just following up in case anyone needs help in the future. You need an extra vacuum point, a simple Y or T joint from the windscreen washer system and connect to the switched side of the BVSV. This is open when cold and closed when hot - should be simple to work out from there![]()
