Hey guys,
Half way through putting a 1jz from a 1992 chaser into my s13. Need advice on deleting the traction control unit!
Due to engine bay limitations, the throttle body will be cut short and have a 45deg bend welded on to it. As this is a traction control model, I will be cutting that unit off. My question is what to do with the air and water lines that are found underneath it? Plug them up, put fittings on them and run them? And what about the traction control wiring - just strip back the loom and remove it all?
My other option is to source a non-traction control throttle body, but this will still need to be cut and fit with a 45deg bend to clear my rad setup, so would prefer to avoid if a cut traction control unit will suffice . . .
just work out were the water lines go and by pass the throttle body basicly??? cant see why that wont work? if you have to cut both of them anyway just use the one you have. thats all i did on my 2j throttle body.
