I agree with Adam and Van, we need to stump up the cash now and not put the onus or burden on the team managers who are all doing this as a favours to the competitors.

In years past Ian has gone and covered any shortfalls in the entry fees to ensure we all run and has been left out of pocket on most of these occasions. This is hardly fair and although it may be an oversight by competitors to correct this it leaves them in the position they are now, which is to ask for the full entry fee 5 months out.

Yes I know money is tight for everyone, myself especially but I have juggled things around and are now happy to have it paid and done with. I hope everyone else can do the same as I know without the team managers there would be no 6HR teams.

please lets not turn this great event into an issue or argument
I am sure we are all doinbg the best we can
I can see both sides of the discussion
we do not want any ill feelengs between fellow team members so lets just all concentrate on getting those cars ready and having a great time at winton

Cheers Van, yeah I'm not intending to cause any rifts or issues between anyone .....more just making the point of how we have such good team managers

    Hi Everyone,

The NCCA (Nissan Car Club) were due to have their monthly meeting tonight - where I was going to ask for 3 interested drivers to help with our 6 hour team entry. I obvioulsy asked the team managers before doing this and received their approval....

This club meeting has been rescheduled to next froday the 15th June for one reason or another. So rather than muck around waiting another week, I have emailed the racing secretary and I will be following that up with a phone call to her this afternoon to put the feelers out.

I should have some sort of idea by the start of next week as to interest levels from the NCCA and a final answer by the end of 15th June.

Additionally I am racing this Sunday at Sandown in the FFCC Grp5 sprint, so I might ask a couple of people that I race regularly with if they are interested?

If anyone has any dramas/issues with this - let me know and I won't ask. But my feeling is that if we get a couple more interested than required it becomes a bit of a first payed/first in scenario - rather than having to pull a whole team out....

    See how we go...

    Darren.

Most of you will have received an email or two from Neil in recent days.

Our Expressions of Interest have just been lodged for three teams - Team TCCAV, Team Corolla and Grumpy Automotive Racing.

Entry fee for a team is $1600, and they have asked for a deposit of $200 from each team (which was a bit different to the original communication of them wanting the whole lot up front).

If we have 6 in each team, Van and I think if we call it $300 a person total, the extra can go towards the catering - sausages, drinks, bread, bacon & eggs etc. If any one has objections to that speak up via email please.
