Got a build thread? Sounds awesome. Also reassuring!

I'm taking it that you used the factory ECU and Drive-by-Wire pedal?
Anything else to remember to take? I've been told immobilizer, push start ignition key antenna.

Wouldn't know or have heard of anyone's experiences with aftermarket ECU and with the typical port and -FSE Direction Injection??

    sort of

haven't been updating it since then though

some mark x's had no immobilizer , so that issue was sorted out easily. I had no technology to bypass it back in the time of the conversion, so finding the proper ECU was the only way to go.
pedal wise, nothing fance, ran the 6 wires to the ecu as per wiring diagram

the diagram for lexus is250 was good enough to help me with the mark x donor

Cool, so with the right model the loom pretty much carries over.

Do you know why some don't have the immobilizer?
Is it a regional, year of production or abase-model/factory-option type thing? etc?

Some JDM cars seem to have no immo or more simple system compared to same model for other markets. The same rule of thumb applies to production year - the older the year the simpler the security is
