Subscribed Thread List Problems

Hi,

I dont know if everyone else is having this problem but at least once a day I will go back to my CP and in my subcribed threads list it will show a post that I have already read.

ie I will read a post by stahlz_ae86 at 8:15pm in the Women! thread for example and then sometimes even a day later even though no new posts have been written it will come up again in my subcribed threads list.

I thought it might be because I switch between my computer at home and my one at my boyfriends place but I have been here (at bf's) all day and it has done it again.

Is this occuring because someone is editing a previous post??

Is there anyway from stopping this happening again???

I wouldn't mind so much if this hadn't been happening for a few weeks now.

go to USER CP

and unsubscribe from the thread.

you know where it is and you can check it in your own time.

That means unsubscribing from all my threads cause it randomly happens with each one. The example above is just that, an example. This happens to my boyfriend as well.

Surely there is a better way of combatting it then never being subscribed to threads.

Yep, happens to me too.

Does everyone go around the problem by unsubscribing and looking for everywhere they have posted??

Does this happen only in threads with a poll in them?

I have not seen this happen at all so I suspect it is from poll replies being considered replies to the thread by the software.

Thats what i though too initially Josh but the Women! thread doesn't have a poll in it

It didnt actually happen to me in the Women! thread that was just an example. It maybe the poll threads.....I'll watch it more carefully and see. But coming to think of it this really could be it.

Ill let you know when it happens again.

I find VBForums ability to keep track of my subscribed threads appauling.

I have subscribed to numerous threads that I no longer get updates for, and I find that if someone posts within 1-2minutes after I post, I do not get an update of it.
