Wha? Is this some magical sticky paste you paint on dead tyres to ring one more track day out of them? Or just a 'grip additive' meant for tyres with life in them?

yep, it's a liquid you 'paint' onto the tyres 48 hours prior to using then wrap them in plastic while it cures/soaks in.
It's meant to soften old tyres that have gone hard and give them more grip.

search it on e-bay, it's about $30 a bottle.

I think I might look into that stuff too. I bought my tyres about 3 years ago 2nd hand, and they've only been used in anger a couple of times (less if you count the almost half the weight vehicle they're now on)

Used stuff like that on go-kart tyres before (not illegal at all.....)

The stuff that I had was very old, but worked quite well, definitely got another race meeting out of them.
