    Anyone got suggestions for (really) cheap *used* semis? Rather not destory my road tyres. 16s or 17s, i have wheels spare in both sizes

    I'll have some slightly used 205/45/R16 Federals going very cheap shortly.

    $100? Were you planning on driving down and back on them?

    Diameter a fair bit off, but i guess that doesn't greatly matter - the cost does, so $100 suits me fine, sounds good to me

    Not worried either way, i can fit a set of wheels in the car no problems - whys that?

    I was half serious; but i guess if you were only going to put them on at the track there's no issue with potential legality or safety in the wet of the current tread depth/condition.

    I should probably also disclose at this point a couple of them are no longer perfectly round. As i said, i was kind of joking as they're fairly flogged - if you're interested i'm happy to discuss further/provide photos, they'll be coming off soon anyway.
