3SGE beams into a TA22

Hi Guys

Recently purchased a TA22 and in the process of restoring now.

I've been tossing over the 4agze, 4age, 3tgte or 3sge beams, I'm very keen on the beams.

So has anyone done this conversion? Is it possible? What's involved? Etc......

Also if anyone got links and info would great.

A guy in Thailand has put a beams in his but it seems like a bit nasty conversion. He has chopped the drag link and welded it lower so the engine/box fits over the steering link. The other main issue you have is that it is a tall motor and the sump will hang very low. Here is his build thread

Depending on how good your conversion skills are and how much you want to spend will depend on which is the best engine for you. The easiest option is the 3tgte if you can find one in good condition as it will almost bolt it in (passenger side engine mount need to be spaced out to fit larger engine mount for turbo oil return). Next easiest would be 4age then 4agze and the hardest is the 3sge beams.

Thanks for the replies guys, I've decided to stick with something more easier like the 4agze. I've seen many of those conversions on the forum.
