Can An external wastegate be too big?

I have bought two 44mm gates they should be here on Wednesday. Will try fit 2.5" dumps as short as possible. I like the obnoxiously loud bark of a short piped external venting gate. Im running internal wastegates as well and a solenoid to control which gate the boost is sent to so with a flip of the switch i can have nice quiet plumbed back gate or nice raucous screamer.

Haha yeah my Engine bay is not exactly standard! Motor sits far enough back to have quite alot of room infront of the motor and thats where the gates will sit i hope!
