    Question need help on choosing a halfcut?????

    Hi there ladies and gents, just a few small questions to regarding gze's

    i currently own a 1990 ae93 SX corolla and now that i have my full lic its time to make it more powerful and just have a few questions about some stuff:

    Which half cut should i be looking for eg ae101, ae111?? etc...

    Which is the easyist cut for the transplant??

    can anyone suggest a good import yard im on coffs harbour so sydney or brissy a both not too far away?

    Whats a reasonable price to pay for the cut??

    What do you look for when buying the half cut???

    I am shocked by the price of many of the half cuts that importers have, they are getting so old now.
    I think at the moment it would be better to buy a car with a conversion done and swap it over to your car.
    There have been quite a few cheap cars around.
    If you really like the car, why dont you look at Jasons ae82 conversion using a 2zzge (turbo or non turbo) or Pippys with a 1zzfe and a turbo. Its a much more modern engine and was not the hardest thing to get bolted in.
    Factor in an aftermarket like an Adaptronic so you can really get it to run sweetly.
    The 1zzfe is available quite cheaply now. I know a guy trying to get rid of one after a 2zzge conversion.
    If you need to be inspired then look at monkey wrench racing.
    Remember that the 1zz comes in the MR-S and the 2zz comes in the Lotus Exige so there is a lot of aftermarket support.
    The gearbox it the same C series as your car , with a different bellhousing.
