    Default Rt132 corona fuel leak

The fuel from my corona's tank leaks from the fuel cap on hot sunny days when i have the tank full. I'm worried someone might walk by in the parking lot with a cigarette and cause a tragedy. I think it should have a vent or something?

    Hi Remo,

I have one of these at the moment that I am rebuilding/modifying, im pretty sure there is a vent hose but can't be sure - I have to take the fuel tank out to do some work tonight, so I will have a look and post back tommorow.

Have you replaced the fuel cap? It could just be your seal is worn and is the fuel is moving around as you drive causing a little to splash out?

Hi! I haven't replaced the cap yet. It only drips while it's parked and the weather gets warm. I'll wait for what you see in the tank. Thanks heaps

    Hi mate,

Got the fuel tank out no worries but the fuel lines had already been cut before I owned the car. What I can tell you though is that there is no vent line going up to the filler cap.

I would suggest just changing the cap and you should be right considering there is no other way for the fuel to get there.

    Kind regards,

    Ryan

I see. Thanks Ryan. I looked closely into where the fuel cap rubber sits into the opening and found a small groove don't know what that's for. I'll try changing the cap. Thanks man.

    All the best!
