LPG carb is at least easy to get working blow through, and will cause far less hassles. But WHY oh WHY would you insist on using a carb? Do it for the fun of trying, but not for the expectation of particularly good results.

Punctuation is the difference between 'I helped my Uncle Jack off his horse' and 'I helped my uncle jack off his horse.'
You should consider the costs of this idea before you persue the project, heres a rough example of what it might cost you.
1. Carby modified to suit FI $400
2. Turbo $300
3. Custom Manifold $400
4. Tuning $300
5. Misc $200
total $1700
For that sought of money you could get yourself a 4AGZE and it would be
More powerful
Much more reliable
More fuel efficeint
And easier!
na i was just interested in the hole idea of carby turbo i would go efi too

ooh, that makes a thread so worthwhile
not only did you just start the thread instead of researching something thats been being done since the probably before the bloddy 70's you were only wondering about it, not even considering!

is that realy a problem im just expanding my knowledge and if toymodders can help why not if it was as simple as slapin a s/c on with a carb i would have already started but money spent on just a thought would be a waste true

also with carb turbos, its not a good idea to run an intercooler as thats one big ass area with a fuel air mix ready to go bang!!!
thats assuming its a suck thru setup, which would be nutty to run anything but a straight pipe from the turbo to the manifold....

hey bloke. blow through carbs is quite simple you just need to have good shaft seals and solid floats the best carby to use is a weber because they are alredy sealed around the shaft u can just use a petrolium resistant expansion foam and fill ur floats with them. a weber carb is the next best thing to fuel injection. in n/a applications carbs will produce more power than efi. but a suck through carby setup is a cheap effective way of producing good cheap power. have a look at this
dont let anyone convince you that its cheaper to just spend 2000 dollar and buy a jap motor eg 4ag etc etc than it is to turbo the carb setup
my turbo cost me $60 in good working condition
an su cost me $50
and we just made the rest ourselves.
$110 and double the rear wheel horsepower with stock internals doesnt sound expensive or silly to me. but the choice is really yours

n/a carby making more power than n/a efi is a bit far fetched... even if it did, it'd never be as quick as efi because it's not as precise. a carb can't match an efi setup over the whole rpm range.

a n/a motor making more power with carbies than fuel injection? pull my leg again, the first time felt fun![]()
