i have a stock 1g hoping to upgrade the injectors when i have some spare change it has a greddy e managment thingo with a 3 inch exhaust and custom manifold. the turbo that was on there was a gt35r which was way to big obvisouly so now i have the chance to get a kkk or kkr cant remeber k3t turbo for pretty cheap what i want to know is will this turbo suit this engine and be able to hold 18 psi and it is only oil cooled will this be a problem??

what type of manifold (you said custom - who made it?) intercooler piping size/path, intercooler itself etc were you running at the time of the lag monster GT35R assuming it was at least the .86 rear housing? not the .63? i'm more interested in the 35R, as they are a very usable turbo in most applications..
the35 had the 86r and didnt spool till around 6500 and boost around 8000 ide say but not sure was a while ago all i know is that it wasnt what i wanted the intercooler piping is 2.5inch and is going to stay that was thus far
i'm surprised to say the least, i know of a few 2L motors pushing 35r's quite nicley (with a .86 rear) but alot is due about thier setups and manifold designs etc...
are you thinking of the KKR 380?? keep in mind that it is not ball bearing or anything fancy... just a cheap new turbo with mixed reviews...
looked into a precision turbo?? something around the 48mm-55mm range would be something very sutable for not HUGE hp, but very good response.. unfortunatly thier billet range starts in the slightly bigger frames.. aussie dollar is pretty awesome at the moment

seems very cheap and enough for what your chasing i dare say... i wouldn't expect it to be SUPER responsive, but a fair bit more than the GT35r.... didn't want to put a .63 rear onto the the 35r?? or have you already sold it?? bit of a stuff around.. but you will have a awesome BB garrett![]()
i had a .63 t3t4 on my 1gge, was some time ago but im sure full boost came in around 4k rpm. if possible id go for the .63 35r option bb will shit all over that t3t4.
MTQ will have everything you need to do the .63 on your GT35r... and they can do it for you (mostly concerned about the balancing)...
yer i sold the 35 about 4 months ago the car has just been sitting since as i was deciding what to do i didnt really look into the 35 because the previous owner just said to get rid of it and buy a smaller one and it will go hard as lol but know that i have alot more knowledge i wish i didnt sell it
