when i left mine out in the weather for 12months and when i came back the paint on the bonnet was hella flakey.

id put some cardboard or something (maybe even newspaper the windows?) over some of the interior to help protect from sun damage.

if out in the weather, get it way up above the ground (like wheels up 9-12 inches), otherwise you'll get lots of rust & shit on everything under sill height.

don't put it under a tree - the leaves & shit will ruin the paint and block/rust up any sills or other areas that collect crud

all ventilation closed and spray exterior grade surface spray around every opening, inside guards, seals, sils, etc.

fill/block every orifice (including air-cleaner inlet, cabin vents, etc) to prevent dust & insects getting inside

    reflective shades inside every window

get a few closet camels (you put in it cupboards/closets to absorb moisture) from woolies/coles and place on floor at front, rear & boot.

liberal spray of WD40 or innox over engine bay after parking it.

Try to cut a deal with someone to come and wash/wax it every 1-2 months - the paint will appreciate it.

get a cheap 3x3m shade thing from bunnings/supacrap that has a UV-stable cloth (not a tarpaulin or vinyl material) cover, pack car under it, stake down the legs firmly into the ground and add some extra tie-downs over the cloth. Doesn't matter that the sides are open or the car isn't fully covered, you'll still keep a lot of sun and weather off the car. I have a cheap 3x3 fold-up shade thing from supacrap, I replaced the shitty blue vinyl with a UV-safe cloth cover from bunnings. There was a slight size difference but it's lasted the weather and wind for 6 months with only one corner clip tearing off.
