    Cool thanks man.

Any advice on the best place to mount the sump spigot?

I'm assuming it doesn't really matter as long as its not submerged.

remember the oil is constantly being cycled through the sump anyway, so it doesn't 'really' matter if it's not above the full level.. just as long as it is useabe.. and clears everything, i usually aim about 20mm from the sealing surface, remember to try and keep it cool to not warp it though...

if your already running the 4afe/ge sump with the hole in it... save yourself the pain and just go and get a handfull of speedflow or the cheaper alternative brands..

the oil return should be ABOVE the oil level when the engine is running.

the best place to fit the return is as high as possible on the side of the sump. also make sure the drain hose is a nice large diameter.

if you can yes... but as close to it as practical is fine.. IE the factory spot for the oil return off the oil cooler...

drain hose will offcourse be the correct dia as the drain off the bottom of the turbo, thats just common sense...

^^ not really, dunno how many people i've seen try to use a 3/8" hose for a oil return...
minimum i use is 5/8" oil return, and i prefer to not use the stock oil cooler position and weld in a new 5/8" pipe higher up on the sump.

Ok cool thanks guys. Well my sump doesn't have any return on it at all, so It sounds like the best option is to just remove sump and weld in a decent sized custom oil return pipe with same diameter as turbo oil drain pipe.

Speaking of oil and turbo cars, I'm assuming it would probably be very smart to have an oil cooler setup too, haha. (I was going to get to that soon.) The Turbotech guys recommended synthetic oil as it has a higher resistance to breaking down under high temperatures caused by the turbo.

They're just covering their arses for worst case scenario, as in drift car that will be driven on boost more than off boost with bad air flow.

Like you said, no need for oil cooler at all if it's mostly a street car.

Hook your water lines up and you'll be fine, but like I told you when you came by, if you're not going to run water lines, rig up an oil cooler.

Cool np thanks guys. Hey I was thinking about tapping into the the two water lines that go to the throttle body on the intake manifold. They seem to be about the right size. Any recommendations on the best place to take water lines from?
