So i've pulled the 20v out of my AE82 racecar for a rebuild. Is there anything I should be trying to do with it whilst it's apart for a bit of extra go or just do a standard rebuild.
I only plan on running a standard ECU so aren't really looking to change cams and the like but was thinking maybe there might be gains with some headwork?
Any advice from anyone who's rebuilt one would be great.
Also does anyone know where I can get cheap Toyota gasket sets? I had someone who was going to hook me up but doesn't work in the parts department anymore.

When I rebuilt mine, I just cleaned up the lumps and bumps in the ports and matched matched the inlet manifold. Best tool for me was a Dremel with a little stone about the size of a 5c piece, available in the $15.00 Supercheap accessory kits for Dremels.
Made sure the block was absolutely clean and head and block skimmed. I used ARP bolts on the big end bearings - otherwise it was standard.
I also ultimately replaced the oil pump.
It's since seen 10,000k's of track and street time in a clubman without a glitch getting generally thrashed.
