1ggte into ra23

Hey all i was wondering if ne 1 has done a 1ggte engine conversion into an ra23 nd if so can i get a few pointers with a few things

Does ne1 have a wiring diagram 4 the 1ggte to go into ra23 and it a w58 bellhousing would fit onto w50 box

Been done plenty of times, do a search. You will need a ta23 x member and 1ggeu mounts then the engine will "bolt in", as for transmission use a w58, and grab a Auto TA22 1 piece tail shaft, it all bolts up. you will need to make a gearbox xmember however.

As for wiring depends on what your going, aftermarket or stock.

Ok sounds good i was thinkin just stock i bought the motor wit the wiring harness on it nd the engine mounts were already changed 4 a conversion do u no how it will fit hight wise 2 the bonnet or will i have 2 raise the bonnett

Will clear the bonnet easily, no need to raise/mod it at all.

Limi, firstly, would you like me to donate you a new keyboard, it seems to be missing letters.

Second, the W58 does not need a tailshaft change. Any tailshaft which came with the RA23 (auto or manual) will fit the W58 as the A40 and W50 are the same length and output spline as the W58. The issue is with the gearbox crossmember. Somewhere in my RA28 build thread is a photo of the crossmember mod I had to do to fit said gearbox. As for the original question regarding the bellhousing, no the W58 bellhousing won't fit a W50 box. Sorry. If you already have the bellhousing, RT142 Coronas are a great source of W58's in good condition.

As for the wiring diagram, I wouldn't hold back waiting for one. Most people take an RA23 wiring diagram, and a wiring diagram for the car the engine came from (GA70 Supra perhaps?) and nut it out from there. This is likely to be one of the trickier parts if you aren't an electrically minded person
