    It would be faaar easier to work out the resistances needed and replace them with high wattage resistors.
    My AE101 uses transistors for fan speed control, so I can't help with values, but the values stated in a previous post seem like a good starting point.

    Yeah I have a multi meter.
    I checked the resistance across the other coils and made the replacement according to the steps the others were making.
    I thought it wouldn't matter too much as it would only affect the fan speed (maybe a bit faster or slower) rather than not work at all.
    As long as the circuit is complete it should work.

    If you only have high fan speed it sounds like maybe the resistor wiring is faulty... if the resistor is unplugged I'm pretty sure you only get high fan speed...
