    Default AE111 Steering Issues

The BZ-R is curently (and has been, on / off) steering like a pig.

The steering is extremely heavy at low/parking speeds, and there is a delay and wooliness about the car that's making it quite unpleasant to drive.

I also took a corner at about 60km/h and it felt like the road-whell was loose/wobbling.

Have checked all nuts/bolts etc and had the thing aligned. . .

Any ideas on this welcome. . . Failing that a referral to a good steering specialist that (ideally) knows their way around S/Strut suspension also appreciated.

Couple of dumb things to check..

Power steer fluid, belt isn't slipping etc. Rack ends for movement, ball joints and that.

Jack the car up, and wobble the wheel. If u get movement from 3:00 - 9:00 then its rack related. Is the superstrut the same as non superstrut racks? I've got 3 ae111 power steer racks at home from half cuts.

Normal and super strut will be close enough that diagnosis of the steering system will be identical.

How old is your super strut parts? they tend to last 100,000kms before they wear out.
I would check fluid and belts, then check the tie rod ends for looseness (These are differently shaped to macpherson strut, but operate exactly the same).
After that, move onto the rack and pump.
