Why run a 20V with HUGE cams, and VVTi off? Just asking... most E7 cars were substantially underpowered, so even a 16V 4AGE makes them VERY fun.

In my e7 coupe I have a 16V smallport that I even manage to run a 15.77, and I'm horrible as a drag racer she puts out enough power to top out over 140 mph too

This more than anything. My race engine can idle happily at 800rpm (but the alternator doesnt charge that low with the underdriven pulleys). Nothing much happens until 4000rpm though, I think its < 30hp by 3000rpm.
    Thats 304deg cams, 252@50.

    hey tak....

i kinda guessed that was the case. Its not the smartest engine choice i know :S but ive allways wanted a blacktop in my e7. I kinda just wanted other people to remind me how dumb an idea it is lol.

i wouldnt mind the slug down low issue, except its going to get a lot of highway kms...120 odd daily and with the lower gear ration in the s15 box it will struggle to keep speed in the hills without changing and thats a pain in the arse

any chance of a short vid?
Well you can kinda hear it on the grid in this, this was around the 280-290hp mark a few years ago, now it revs more and makes more powerz

And you can catch it on the track outside in my vid here as well, but he was hardly revving it as the clutch would just slip. But you get some glimpses of him revving it and sounds so sweet!
