    Thumbs down mx83 electrical problems!

Hey there guys just having a huge dilemma here at the moment!

I purchased a cressida off some guy a while back the car had been in a bingle i have spent the past few months straightening the front up ect.

Now i have been around the car checking everything and had it running, now with it idling at 1000 rpm with the radio on after a while it kills the battery and the car turns itself off,or i turn it off.

I have just been checking globes ect and the d/s outter taillight globe was blown so i removed the taillight changed the globe and then had no tail lights, discover a blown fuse replaced that and still nothing!

If anyone has had this problem before or has a clue it would be greatfully helpful.

    Thanks for looking matt

the park lights and dash lights are on the same circuit. i short circuited something when i was wiring a gauge in mine, havent tracked it down yet ive checked all fuses not sure where the issue lays.

also there should probably be a electrical load sensor, so when you have other electronics on they may increase the idel so the alternator can keep up. to get a better idea of your battery and alternator health grab a multi meter from bunnings or where ever, switch it to voltage and test the voltage across the terminals with the engine off, if its below 12.5v its either not holding charge or something it drawing current. with it running you should see higher voltage maybe around 13.5-14v (can someone confirm this?)
