What are those exhaust tips/mufflers Cruz?
Look pretty compact if they've got baffles.
Did they fit a bladder or fuel cell foam in your tank? Mind me asking what custom tank like that costs?
and there we have our winner![]()

They are Magnaflows. Come in pairs, each one is only 1.6" internally, or 2.25" as a pair, hence I can get away with 4 (total size equivalent to a single 3.2")
Its not listed on their website anymore, but it was the twin version of this.

So two of those, 2.5" in, core size is dual 1.6", twin 3.5" out (just tips)
No bladder, no foam.
The guy who did my tank normally does tanks for road cars, not racing cars, so he wasn't very cluey about EFI baffling etc. I reckon most of the tanks he does would be for carby cars.
But it has a brace/baffle along the length, across the width, and a swirl pot style arrangement where the pump is.
I've never had it surge on the road, and have had it fairly low. Never thrown it around a track though.
Price wise was about $10/L for a carby style tank (ie, basic), and maybe up to $12/L once you get the EFI extra's on it.
Mine was closer to $15/L because of the tower required to fit the UZZ30 fuel level sensor, plus other small things he did for me.

Nice one! some good ideas.
I think the only thing i'd do different is sink the surge/tower into the tank so it all fits under the boot floor. And try to get the filler out of the way a bit.
Doesn't sound as expensive as I thought.
Filler wise I'm not exactly happy with it, but it was all we could do at the time.
I intend to fit a boot lid mounted filler at some stage.
Something like this, which will get rid of the side filler.
That tower is actually for the UZZ30 fuel level sensor (I'm running a UZZ30 dash cluster).

oh shit, that thing is massive! I thought you were just welding a surge tank on top of the tank, and that was the swirl pot you were talking about. But now I see you've got the tower for the sensor and a swirl pot built-in around the pump.
Out of curiosity, given that the tank now looks like it only comes halfway up that sensor, do you find that a full tank only shows half-full on your dash cluster?
Yeah, the most I get on the gauge is 5/8ths.
And I get about 200km's out of the tank after it reaches 1/8th !
Not ideal, but you get used to it.
