Default CCG Cruise to Flynn's Wrecking Yard Cooma - Saturday 18th June 2011

Finally a cruise to get those cobwebs out and on a Saturday to boot!

    When: Saturday June 18th
Where: Meet at Hume Service Station
    Time: 8am
Cost: $10 entry fee to flynn's + some cash for Pizza on the way back

Many people I know have never heard of old Flynn's yard so we figured it was a good time to show everybody.

We will be meeting at the Hume Service station at 8am sharp to leave by 8:30am. The drive is nice at just over an hour long though we may encounter some snow traffic that will slow us down.

Once we get to the yard we will spend several hours looking through some of the classics and then head back via Breadbo for some awesome pizza.

Don't forget to bring some warm clothing and a digital camera to capture some of the rusty relics in all their glory.

Some shots to whet your appetite.

Is well worth the $10 for a look but dont expect to get any cheap parts, he'd rather see them rust than sell for market price...

I've been told by a few people now that it depends on the week.

Some people have gotten whole cars for a few $100 while other times he will quote $1000 for a front bumper.

Still its going to be well worth the drive.

    Cheers

From times I have called him before for MK2 Corona parts, he is a complete STOOGE! He wanted $400 for a drivers door window reg! Took 2 weeks to get back to me with that price, after calling many times.. I told him to fuck him self.....

    Good job Jezz!

Hahaha you have had the normal wreckers experience Joe. Flynns is just like all the rest, maybe a lil bite more rude, but I just love looking around wreckers even if Im not looking for parts.

Im going for sure but am not going to looking for parts, just looking at the range of old cars, especially old yank tanks, up there. We thought it was just a good excuse to go for a run somewhere.

Dont forget to rug up REALLY warm if your coming and then you will be able to enjoy the cruise.

    Cheers

You will have to introduce me to these decent blokes in the CCG someday jojo.

Will be good to just look over all the cars and wonder how they ended their lives rusting away in a poor old yard like this one. Oh the humanity.....

These new CCG are perfect for a day in the wrecking yard in sunny warm Cooma.

If you want to see even more pics of the yard have a look at these from the Torana site:
    http://www.gmh-torana.com.au/forums/...t-a-gold-mine/

Yard closes at 12 noon, so we can warm up with some Pizza in Breadbo for lunch before heading home.
    Cheers
