14's is going to seriously limit your options, I used RA28 struts with LS400/Celsior 4 pots and 315mm discs but no way will they get under less than a 17" wheel.
Personally I would go with an RA28 (or similar) strut as they have a very easy to change caliper mounting plate, as well as a bigger stub axle. You will need a low profile caliper (which Skyline definitely isn't) so could look at something like the Commodore PBR's that Hoppers Stoppers use and then find a disc to suit. Run some DECENT pads and you should be fine, remember most of your upgrade isn't actually about stopping better as that is generally limited by tyres and suspension. It is more about stopping more than once.

Here is one I have not heard of being done but I believe it would all bolt up, tell you why at the end.

    R33 gtst 280mm rotors
    Series 1 bluebird hubs
Rt132 struts (same as used on pug/hilux)
R33 gtst callipers to suit 280mmm disc
    Maddat or datsport calliper bracket

    1. Redrill the rotor to suit series 1 bluebird hub and bolt rotor on the back
    2. Mount hub and rotor onto rt132 strut (should all fit)
    3. bolt on calliper and bracket
    4. Enjoy your big brakes

The reason I believe this can all fit is I know of people using the pug hilux upgrade on the Nissan skyline r31 strut (same calliper spacing and ears as the rt132). I also know of people using the maddat setup on the r31 skyline strut so by comparison the blue bird hubs, and calliper brackets should fit on the rt132 strut giving you a nissan setup that bolts behind the hub.

Another Nissan option, you say you are intended to use longer arms anyway. Why not go the ra60 strut route, Nissan callipers bolt straight on, rotors will need to be redrilled to fit. Should all bolt up. There is a thread somewhere detailing this setup. Might need camber tops to give you some negative camber, but the longer arms should get you around neutral.

These will most likely need 15” rims

Could be worth a look, mentions fitting under 14" wheels. Need AE86 struts but a pretty reasonable price.

this is incorrect info, R33 is 296mm (i think its 6)

    R32/Z32 is 280mm

the RX7 upgrade will fit under some wheels, i do think they will fit under ma61 wheels with small spacers. double check with Dave.

    AE71,

you are correct r33 is 296mm, r32 is 280mm. The point is that conversion can use either, just get the right caliper for the right size disc

    FC/FD RX7 Caliper Upgrade kit - using AE86 struts
    http://www.ajps.com.au/parts/fc_brak...r_adapters.asp

yeah i like the idea of this FC/FD RX7 caliper with the 262x20mm rotors from the AJPS caliper upgrade kit. Anyone know which discs that kit uses? Is this the Magna rotor?
What do they mean by "a large back spacing", when saying they will fit a 14" wheel? Would you say an MA61 wheel has large backspacing? My keyboard has a large backspace key....

Of course the PITA factor here is getting AE86 struts. They aren't so common, and seem to attract mucho takumi tax.

CPH upgrade seems too heavy, but may work. I will have to think about that one.
Nissan upgrades are all too large i think.

Aren't late KE70 (wagon?) and AE71 struts the same as AE86?

    nope.
KE70 sedan, KE70 panelvan/wagon, AE71 sedan/wagon are all the same struts.... which are different to AE86.
AE71 panelvan has the same struts as AE86.

Hmm, NZ market must be different (as it often is). The later KE70 wagons (from about 85 to 88) are same bare strut as AE86. Probably expensive to get to Oz though. Can't remember where the TE71 (T18) fits into the picture.

An 8mm slip on spacer is required when running MA61 wheels: http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/fo...e-upgrade-kits

I *believe* the 262mm rotors are from a Honda Civic.

fook me - with longer LCAs and Phatty McFatfat tyres i may struggle to keep the MA61's under the already pumped guards......
.... unless i introduce some STRETCH tyres

Yep im liking the look of this FC/FD RX7 upgrade.
I've tried doing some searches on the difference between FC and FD calipers.... not yielding many sensible results yet. Turbobricks forums has a picture and some talk, but they keeps talking about S3 vs S4 brakes, and i dunno which is what is mazda?

How much would one expect to pay for FC or FD calipers? $200? $300?
Looking on ebay finished auctions finds useless results.

Witzl - AJPS RX7 brake package will fit under an MA61 rim with a slip on spacer (5-8mm) - just spoke to Dave at ajps then.

S13 280mm rotor and FC 4 pot fit in an early 1 piece 14" work equip 01, AJPS uses 260mm EG6 disc so might fit and shouldn't the KE caliper bracket be similar to AE86 so AJPS kit should fit.

Get 15" wheels and run EVO/Magna brakes. With 400 neddies, you will want something you know will work. RA40 struts are going to be the best starting point for this, and they are easy to get. The hubs need a little tap with a lathe, and you need to get a new pair of calliper mounts cut. I'll have an Autocad drawing for these once I finish painting the 28. This upgrade gives you hat type disks, a plethora of nice pads and rotors available, and all consumables are 100% standard, meaning when you wear a disk, you don't need to re-drill the new one (per H/P/C upgrade), nor do you need to machine pads ever.

For info, check the link in my sig. This setup hasn't been run yet, but I will give a 100% guarantee that they will brake like a mofo.

I did some more digging on the TE71/T18 stuff. It appears they MAY be the same as AE85/86 with the 85mm spacing, 9 inch solid disc and similar/same caliper. Could be worth a look to compine with the AJPS caliper bracket, although you will need AE86 steering arms.
