    Default 1UZFE ECU Reccomendations

    Hey Kiddies,

Its time to get serious with the vert project and I am looking for an ECU for it. I have seen that quite a lot can be gained from decent tune with this motor alone.

There are quite a few options out there, so I am wondering what people have had experience with

I would like the option to use an ethanol sensor, but its not essential...

Adaptronic e420c. http://adaptronic.com.au/products/e420c.html <-- Quite cheap, can use all factory sensors, base maps available from adaptronic themselve, very easy to wire and use/tune.

Or Adaptronic 440, if you want ethanol sensor. http://adaptronic.com.au/products/440.html <- i haven't used this, but similar to the e420c.

+1 for adaptronic. Nothing in the price range matches it IMO

Link. Wired in 20+ of these into boats vans trucks and cars running 1uzs and have never had a single problem and give significant power gains.

If you ever want to run coil on plug sequential Haltech 2000 won't do it for a V8.

You also mentioned the etanol sensor and so I assume a decent amount of power, forced induction?

I'm using a proefi with the flex fuel sensor, the other ecu that I know of that has a flex fuel sensor setup is the Vipec.

MS3 firmware and hardware also support flex fuel sensors.

+1 for adaptronic e4XX series depending on whether you want full sequential injection and ignition. They also have their 1280 unit which will suit you if you need full sequential. They are brilliant units for the asking price of them and what features they have.

Or just grab a MOTEC M800 or M880.

Vipec V88 is one to consider also.
They are stupidly powerful ECU's, but not cheap
