Yeah, as Ian has shown my brother in the blue Mini had no where to go and actually hit the underside of the green one as it was on its side!.......happened up around the water tank at the top of the circuit on the first lap so mayhem all round.......will pretty much require a whole new front end but the motor should be ok and with it being put on the rack at the panel shop should be able to be straightened up ok....still not a cheap exercise but my brother was ok so that's the main thing....just in the wrong place at the wrong time and nothing he could do about it.

as it turned out the bugatti had not blown a piston
it was the hole in the bonnet to get air to the inlet
but at a distance through a big arse camera lense it looked like a hole that had been punched through
there was a lot of carnage today damaged and hurt cars everywhere

Hahahah... That hole is for the supercharger blow-off Ian. You can see it in your photo.

    hi slim
i thought it looked a bit small
from a fair distance maybe that is what made it look like a hole torn in the bonnet
as the gas that comes out would have discolored the vent area giving it a damaged look

Yeah well the You Tube footage pretty much shows Len Read on cold tyres just getting a bit too taily and after it whipped round one way it went and whipped the other way and caught....causing it to roll...my brother then hit the underside of Lens car.....what a bitch but what can ya do.......my brother is actually up in Benalla today cutting the front off a rusted out 850 Mini to transplant onto the race car

My brother will be racing in his 'new' reshelled racecar after last years little incident

    hi graham
i will be there the sunday
for those that have not seen this type of racing , you dont know what you are missing out on
real cars that you could once buy ,and watching mini's tear through a gaggle of mustangs and comaros
not the two make taxi race thats forced on us now, and have only the shape that represents a production car
