G'day all,
Can anyone save me the stress of dealing with Toyota spare parts? I need the part number of the funky 9mm bolts that bolt the converter to the flexplate on a 2JZ.
Thanks in advance,

Bloody legend, thanks mate.
I managed to obtain the factory gay 9mm torque converter to flexplate bolts for a 1JZ setup (PN: 90119-09009 for those who search and find this thread)
However the helpful Toyota parts manadvised that the part number i had derived from Toyodiy (my new favz websitez) for the 'flexplate to crank' bolts was incorrect..... Toyodiy quotes this part number 90105-10294, however Toyota Parts Man says this is for a washer or something.... he said the '90105' part of the PN referenced a washer.
We tried 90119-10294, thinking that 90119 means 'bolt' in Toyota talk, (and the TC bolts i got were spot on and started with this prefix) but it did not work and i was then abruptly escorted out by Toyota security, as i was wasting time and not making them any money (they hate that shit.)
Can anyone help me? Dont make me reuse the old ones like a dodgy kent.....
Are you looking for the Flexplate to torque converter or flexplate to crank as they are obviously different and you have mentioned them both?
The flexplate to crank are the same between 1JZ/2JZ with 90105-10294
The flexplate to torque converter are different. The JZA80/JZS147 comes up with a 10x1.5 bolt (90105-10340 and 90105-10341) and the 1JZ (used a JZX81 for reference) comes up with 9x1.25 (90119-09009 and 90119-09010)
Though I would be mega pissed for being kicked out because they couldnt find a stupid part number.
This is the part number i brought in, but old mate recons it is incorrect (says that 90105 is a washer??????)
I got the flexplate to torque converter bolts no worries.
I wasnt actually kicked out, but the guy was getting his cranky pants on, having to look up bolts for a 'Jap Import'.....
Thanks for your help mate, from here i think i'll just have to find another Toyota Parts to deal with.
The best places I have dealt with for parts are:
James @ Castle Hill Toyota
Nick @ North Shore Toyota (NZ)
Justin @ Amayama (JAP)
And apart from them knowing thier stuff and having the means and willingness to find out if they dont, they will post direct to your door.
Thanks for that big_zop, will be a massive help!!!
+Rep, not that you need it haha!!
To second Big_zops post.
I have dealt with James @ Castle Hill and Justin @ Amayama, both are top blokes!

Thanks heaps guys, invaluable info!!
Good luck with the new venture Japlish, couldnt think of a better parts dude than a Toymods member haha!!
Agree that James @ Castle hill toyota is very helpful when it comes to imports.
Toymods also has a NZ contact who does wonders for great prices on items - name escapes me at the moment, I'm sure someone will share
