    Default 1uz in ra23 tailshaft?

    what to do? should I go with a single tailshaft or split tailshaft. which is better and why?

    i used the two piece deal coz
    1 it fits without stuffing around when you use an w58 box
    2 i am lazy
    3 i cant think of any other reasons

    I just pulled a tailshaft setup out of an SC400, its a two-peice setup. I think the centre bearing helps with vibration, if the tailshaft isnt perfectly balanced, then the centre bearing relieves some of the vibration.

    Also, depending on how you are mounting the ends of the tailshaft to the gearbox output shaft and diff input, then you may need to have the centre bearing to allow for travel of the rear end as the suspension moves.

    Are you using uni joints at both ends, or the rubber discs? (standard on the A340 auto box).
