    Default Import servicing in Brisbane....

Hi everyone, first time poster here but long time member of RSLibertyClub

My wife has a used Jappa import 1993 ST202 Celica, 3SGE with auto tranny. Just wondering if anyone can recommend a top notch mechanic (or even dealership!) for scheduled servicing, prefer Brissy Northside but will definitely travel to get to the right place.....

Car has done 78k now so the 100k biggie is not too far away.....it's totally standard, not a mod in sight, but being an import I can imagine *some* mechanics being totally clueless and ignorant....even though the same motor was used in the local MR2...

    Thanks!
    Rob

P.S. off to the intro section now

P.P.S. couldn't find an into section...is there such a thing

Being that it is a celica, and has a 3sge in it, i can't see why any mechanic can't just get in there and service it. Nothing really special about it.

Yup, the fact that it's an import doesn't mean squat. Any mechanic worth his salt should be able to service a humble 3S.

fwiw: i once got motorama at Rocklea to service my ute as the used-car warranty required a genuine service dtamp. Cost too much but they seemed to follow the manufacturer's directions. Was handy to be able to pickup the car at 8:30pm.

being 20K off the 100K timing-belt-change mark, i'd suggest you do it yourself (fluids, filters, brakes and suspension). As Norbie infers, it's a no-brainer.
