FFCC Sandown Sprint this sunday 8/5/11

Just found out about this tonight and decided to enter the old girl for my first time at sandown. I rang up the secretary and he said there are still positions available (most likely quite a few being mothers day). Thought i would pop this up if anyone else wanted to enter/spectate.

CAMS L2S
CAMS club membership with current sticker (SAU VIC Membership)
Fire Extinguisher
Two bonnet latching mechs (the standard double latch is ok, but for older cars with the single latch no good you need a second with a tie down strap)
Blue battery triangle 150mm x 150mm x 150mm (get yourself some blue contact from the news agency and cut one up!)

Because of the late notice i would ring the secretary (number on the front of entry form) and let him know that you are entering to secure a spot and payment.

Dont think so Van. They have classes for the cars and unfortunately there is no loan car class, it would just be unfair on the other drivers to have to compete agaist such a formidable opponant!

i dont know why they organize meetings on mothers day/fathers day etc
then whinge about the lack of entry's

Agree, what is it about mother's day and motor sport, you don't do it.

Why don't they organise a sprint on christmas day????

Hi Joey & Adam,

If i come down to have a bit of a look tomorrow, do you know which track entry gates they will be using, as there is 3 combinations of gates & they dont seem to use the Princess hwy one on club days ..

Last time i went to spectate (2yrs ago) they used the princess hwy entrance with the bridge? Unless advised otherwise i'll be trying that entrance first.

Oh and by "a bit of a look" i hope that means bringing out the green beast for an early morning run!

Reason for asking is that i have been a few times over the years & have had to at times go down some back streets to get to the track as the bridge road was closed ..
