should mention I'm on 2jz-gte vvti, which unfortunately is 3 coil packs... not ideal for big power

edit: already at ~600bhp, target isn't a whole lot higher, just smoother. 400rwkw tops

    So an update.

I have the Eboost correctly plumbed to only the WG now. There's a bleed on the EBV. The car makes decent boost down low and a solid boost over 3000rpm....gets along pretty well.

even though the sub 3000rpm boost is good (can see 12psi) it's a bit off still and i think it's because the exhaust gas control valve still isn't hooked up properly. I think what it ahppening is it's staying shut until exhaust pressure vasically blows it open? there's a real surge in power just over 3000rpm...no hole, just a very steep increase.

The line from the pressure tank to the EGC valve is blocked...the numpties thought they were hooking into the EBV lines, duh.

It's a bitch of a line to get to as it runs around the back of the engine but see what i can do....i'll just run ,y own line off the pressure canister if i have to.

Now, for now, the bleed to the EBV also means a bleed to the pressure canister...i can see this isn't great but is it bad? thoughts? eventually i'll plumb the EBV bleed post the pressure canister line T but that's a PITA and no time between now and Dubbo to do that.

Hmmm, yet another clusterfuck identified..... no IACV VSV!! This is hooked straight to the manifold and so is the EGCV by a stealthy non standard vac line....so they both just see manifold boost with no VSV control. They have farked with every line except the one they should have, it's miracle it made boost at all. So things are opening before they should so kinda TT but not quite, just a more laggy seq?

it shouldn't be leaking boost out of the IACV, there's a 1-way valve in the plenum underneath the IACV.

Yeah, the rear turbo will be able to blow through the one way valve until the iacv opens. There will be a pressure drop across the reed valve tho

Finally all sorted...well good enough for now Huge thanks to BMWturbo (on PF) for walking me thru the many fark ups this car had done to it's turbo control system.

It makes a solid 14psi up to 3000ish rpm and then up to a peak 16psi (current Eboost controlled peak) when the 2nd turbo comes on. Gets along very nice now and would shit all over the 'TTC' car that it was.

yeah i though ttc was rubbish as well when i tried it.

14psi on the first stage is pretty high though, i only make about 10psi on the first turbo then 13psi both turboos on low boost and 19 high boost.
