Samrex please tell me you are just here trolling people. If not PLEASE do some kind of research to get a bit of understanding of how things actually work so that you have a point of reference to be able to interpret the feedback people give you.

well, from my (limited) knowledge, being the same engine family (M series) means a lot more of it will just be plug and play.

7mge's aren't a bad motor once the head has been taken care of, and will provide more power, with similar economy.

Maybe someone can confirm, but I'm fairly sure you can use the same gearbox - you'd just need an ecu to go with with the motor I think.

Probably drops onto the same mounts even?? (again, someone can confirm this??)

Either way, I wouldn't be blaspheming by putting a rotor in an mx22.. especially if you just want an improvement on 4m.

As for torque, these motors power mx83 cressidas around okay, so an mx22 would be a piece of piss, should be nice and smooth if you get a good donk.

    Just my 2c.

They have to accrew enough for nose reconstructions as well as feeding his mime family. The dont talk much so they never need much water for their dry mouths.

Beerhead = bored = random post. Come on a 27L V12 - I had to post it somewhere!

I thought I'd been on here long enough to get away with a random joke.

Trolling is the act of trying to provoke someone the last time I checked. How does posting a tank motor in an engine swap thread be taken as anything but a joke?
All I wanted was for a few people to have a quick laugh. Nothing more.

You just proved to be a greater Troll than I with such an ambiguous offensive post, it's pure confusing tripe and doesn't have a crux in any form be it pun or fact relating to this post, just a generalised dig at my intellect. Maybe you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover - It's not a very good way to make friends.

In addition to Tomvale's plight, I would suggest looking at using the full MX83 motor and transmission. One reason being that the autos from the 90's far outperform the autos from the 70's, and if you are going to stay slushbox, then it isn't the greatest challenge to get one to fit (assuming it doesn't just slot in - I am going to guess the stock auto would be an A30 or A40, in which case the A340d may be longer from the bellhousing to the transmission mount)

If you are going with manual transmission, then you will need to make sure your donor engine is from a manual transmission engined vehicle. Again, you will probably want to get the later manual box, as they also were far better (W58 is much better than a W50 with respect to mass and gear ratios). A W58 definitely has a larger distance from the bellhousing to the transmission mount than the W50 - by exactly the distance between the xmember to body mounting holes as a matter of coincidence!!

So again, what is your intended purpose?? Is the stock transmission auto or manual, and do you intend to use an auto or manual after your conversion??
