I've just replaced the engine in the ae92 with another 4afc out of another ae92.

It was a wrecker motor so I dont' know it's condition.

I fitting it all up, and yesterday buggered up the inlet manifold gasket, so the water from the inlet manifold water gallery was getting into the inlet manifold, making it not go hardly at all.

So I fixed that with a replacement inlet manifold gasket and cleaned the crap outta it.

Back together, and she started and ran smooth for a little bit (10 minutes).

Went for a bit of a drive, and it very quickly began to miss. Took the radiator cap off and the thing blew steaming water EVERYWHERE. This may or may not have been a real problem.

But, my assumption is that it was using lots of water and that's why it was missing.

Thing is, it idles fine. Usually when the head gasket is stuffed, it don't idle well at all, and when you rev it it clears up. This is the reverse.

Any ideas?
