Default For those running multiplate clutches

Hey was wondering if any one had any videos of there cars at idle running twin or triple plate clutches

I have recently installed a triple plate into my 7mgte/r154 supra it has the normall multiple plate squeal when the clutch is depressed but it's the low rpm/idle noise is frankly disturbing now so far I have asked on 2 supra forums one with some what I would see as respected members(one if which has a 1015rwhp 7m ) say it's normal on the other site everyone thinks it's fucked lol

Here is a vid of the car what do you guys think?

The rattle when it is depressed is normal, but it sounds like you have a noise even when it isn't depressed.... that isn't normal.

The noise when it isn't depressed might be the release bearing?

My supra has had the twin plate in for... 2-3 years?

Has always rattled with clutch in and out. The type of rattle changes, but it rattles

Depends on the car and clutch make, from what I can tell.

I assume you are running a push pull convertor on an R154 with factory slave?

The squeal is the release bearing, you can make an adjustment on the slave as to wear the bearing engages, try backing it off only half a turn.

Yea it's r154 with push pull converter had the slave resleaved to give more throw couldn't get it in to gear when I first installed it but I was also using a w57 master cylinder don't know If they are different but most of the vids on you tube have that squeal when the clutch is depressed

    W57 master or slave?

My R154 slave is adjustable in length, which helps in adjusting to make sure the bearing isn't binding

Ditto. Im running an ORC twin plate. Some people walk past and say hey there is someting wong!

But i think Supras with 6 speed are worse due to the deletion of dual mass flywheel.
